The May 2025 Luncheon was an inspiring day at The Eveleigh. Guests enjoyed beverages and canapés in the foyer then settled in for an impressive feast before hearing from our keynote speaker. We had the pleasure of hearing from former world No. 4 tennis player, Jelena Dokic.

From reaching the Wimbledon semifinals at 17 to enduring 15 years of abuse, Jelena’s journey is a testament to resilience and triumph, showcasing her transformation from victim to survivor to thriver. Jelena captivated us with her story and shed light on the life of sufferers of abuse. She shared what it took for her to overcome this trauma and transform her life after retiring from tennis in 2014. Her journey into a career as a tennis commentator and inspirational speaker is one to be admired.

Her memorable and encouraging message was– abuse thrives on silence and in order to create change, we must uplift and support each other to speak up and take control in life.

It was with great delight that we introduced the FLORENCE Ambassadors – Raquel Manning, Jane Langof, Narelle Warren, Alice Pamment, and Diana Brajuha. With their help, FLORENCE will cater to larger and more diverse audiences and continue to grow the platform for Women in the Building Industry.
